Our four cats love being outside and it's great seeing them romping around the yard, playing and chasing insects. I know that being outside is truly satisfying for them. I am fortunate to live in an area where my cats can be outside. My neighbors all love cats and I don't live next to busy roads. There's not much concern for stray dogs, foxes or coyotes that might harm them. That's not the case for everyone though. If you want to give your feline a taste of the outdoors but in a completely safe environment, consider a cat tent. 

 

Cat tents look like small camping tents and typically have mesh walls so cats can enjoy the sights and smells of the outdoors. I have used them on many occasions and my cats love them although I'm not sure a tent would do now that they've gotten used to no tent. I've included a link to a tent that we've used over the years. It's a simple design that light and easy to stand up. It comes pre-assembled. There are no tent stakes to insert. Just take it out of the box. Put it where you want it and use the locking mechanism to stand it up. It literally takes less than a minute There's a zippable opening for coming and going. I've included a quick video that shows how it works.
